NEWMARKET VISITS CLARINGTON

VS.

The Newmarket Saints will travel to Clarington tonight to take on the Green Gaels. While the Saints can not catch the Gaels for first place in the Mid East Division they still need every point they can get out of the regular season. The Saints can still tie the Gaels in points but the Gaels hold the tie breaker with two victories over Newmarket already this season.

Do not be fooled by the 2 - 0 record Clarington holds over Newmarket this season, both games were close and the Saints are hungry. In the first game the two teams were very close until the Gaels literally ran away with the game in the third period. Newmarket adjusted to Clarington's fast break in game two and just barely were edged in the final minutes. Both of these games were in the friendly confines of the Ray Twinney Complex so the Saints will need to be even better if they hope to win tonight.

The Saints come into this game winning four of their last five games while Clarington has only one once in their past three. If the previous two meetings are any indication this will be very fast and physical Lacrosse. Saints owner Earl Rothery said after the second period of the last game, "That was the best period of Lacrosse I have ever seen".

Just two games left until the playoffs.
